Formed in 1989, we are a smaller troop in the Omaha area. Usually with 20-25 boys, we have a distinct advantage with this size......leadership. Boy Scouts of America is a "boy-lead" organization. Every boy can advance through leadership positions quicker than a large troop. Boys lead the way, while parents provide support and guidance. A very high percentage of mothers and fathers take a roll on the committee or as a leader in this troop. Although not required, we want to welcome every parent to participate in the direction and guidance of this program.
Leadership- Our goal is for each boy to sucessfully learn leadership roles and advance at a moderate pace throughout the scouting program. This program helps mold great male citizens of our community and country. Summer camps have high attendance with this troop.
Goals- We take pride in our high percentage of boys who complete the Eagle Scout Award process. Those boys that earn this honor will have their names placed on our trailer. We encourage our past eagle scouts to remain as leaders.
Friendship- Becoming friends in a boy scout troop provides a lifetime of friendship. Leadership of boys with different types of backgrounds helps develop good character skills.
